The first was a disaster waiting to happen courtesy of my dermatologist. Retin-A was one of the creams that I read about and when I mentioned it to her, she immediately gave me a prescription for it. Here’s the verdict- after two weeks of application, aside from the burning sensation and making my skin look like a baked potato, it didn’t do anything to better my fine line situation. I was really devastated. My Dermatologist failed to mention the super high concentration of Vitamin C and the possibility of getting rashes and breakouts when using the products. I looked elsewhere while I tried my best to hide my face with scarves and hats.
I figured if you can get decent help from the doctor then look to the counter for some relief. Going through the cosmetics counter was like being in a maze of different skin care products. I found a familiar brand which I had also read about. It sounded like it was worth giving a try and so I bought an Olay Regenerist set. It was too mellow for the results that I was expecting, not to mention I consumed a bottle every week which was adding to my frustration. I saw some of the dark spots disappear but it didn’t really do much for the lines. And so, disappointed and growing desperate, I went back to the counter and looked for more options.
After trying a few or more products with no visible effects, I went with Kollagen Intesive.
